WEEKLY CLASSES

WEEKLY CLASSES THAT RUN FROM MAY 27TH TO AUGUST 8TH

  • Ages 18-36 Months

Toddler Time is for your little one that can't sit still when there is music playing. The class is structured to help progress your toddler's physical, cognitive, verbal and social-emotional development with movement. You and your little one will explore basic dance concepts through stories, music, games, props, and obstacle course activities.

  • Age 3 - 5, Grades Kinder - 2nd

Creative Movement provides an exciting first solo dance opportunity for your little dancer. Classes will consist of basic dance skills incorporated with developmental concepts for this age group, including gross and fine motor skills, verbalizing ideas, and learning how to interact in a classroom setting.

  • Grades Kinder

Pre-Ballet Contemporary is your dancer's first glimpse into the beautiful fusion of Ballet and Contemporary. Dancers will spend time learning fundamental barre, center, and across the floor concepts in an interactive and engaging way. By the end of the year, dancers will learn important vocabulary, alignment, discipline, and coordination to prepare themselves for continuing classes in Ballet and Contemporary. Dancers will showcase what they have learned in an informal showing for their families during the last week of the session (August 4th - 8th).

  • Pre-Ballet and Level 1, Levels 2 and 3, Levels 4 and 5

Elevé's Ballet technique classes contain all the traditional elements of a Ballet class; barre, center, and across the floor. Each of these elements will be taught through Elevé's tested and tried Ballet curriculum based on the needs of that level. In addition to the vocabulary and technique of traditional Ballet, dancers will be trained to develop discipline, strength, agility, flexibility, musicality, and artistry. Dancers will showcase what they have learned in an informal showing for their families during the last week of the session (August 4th - 8th).

  • Levels 2 and 3, Levels 4 and 5

Is your ballerina looking forward to wearing pointe shoes? This class specifically targets the muscles, joints, and skills that will be needed for pointe work. In addition to being at least 12 years old, students hoping to go on pointe must be enrolled in a pre-pointe class for at least one year before being selected to go en pointe. Other requirements are available on request. Dancers will showcase what they have learned in an informal showing for their families during the last week of the session (August 4th - 8th).

  • Level 1, Levels 2 and 3, Levels 4 and 5

Contemporary dance is a melding together of many different dance genres, including Ballet, Jazz, and Modern. Dancers in this class will be lead through Contemporary technique concepts like ground work, fall and recovery, inversion, and contraction. Class will also consist of regular composition and improvisation work as well as technique building exercises to develop industry standard movements of turns, leaps, and kicks.

  • Level 1, Levels 2 and 3, Levels 4 and 5

This upbeat class teaches traditional Jazz techniques of isolation, contraction, and percussiveness. In addition, dancers will work on musicality, theatricality, and expressiveness as they learn a variety of kicks, turns, and leaps! Dancers will showcase what they have learned in an informal showing for their families during the last week of the session (August 4th - 8th).

  • Grades 3rd - 6th

Intro to Dance is for the student just jumping into the world of dance; learning about discipline, strength, agility, flexibility, musicality, and artistry. This class will teach fundamentals in technique and vocabulary to prepare dancers to start a leveled technique class in the Fall. Dancers will focus on Ballet, but will also be introduced to Contemporary and Jazz. Dancers will also learn the importance of picking up and retaining choreography as they learn a short dance. Students will showcase what they have learned in an informal showing for their families during the last week of the session (August 4th - 8th).

  • Ages 3 - 5, Kinder - 2nd, 3rd - 6th, 7th+

Acro is a version of tumbling taught with the goal of incorporating the tricks into dance choreography. Acro dancers learn traditional tumbling skills, while working on their flexibility, building strength, and developing overall coordination. Skills taught will include: bridges, forward and back rolls, walkovers, chin stands, cartwheels, handstands, headstands, and more. All skills are taught in trick families (skills that are scaffolded on each other; i.e. shoulder bridge - bridge - one legged bridge - back bend - etc.), so students needing to move faster than their peers will always be challenged to take it to the next level. Acro students will show off their skills during the last day of each workshop.

  • Age 16+

Adults need their time to dance, too! This class is meant for the beginning to intermediate tap dancer. Learn from scratch or resurrect your skills with basic tap steps and techniques. Conquer combinations and full song choreography. Experience the pure joy of making rhythm with your feet, while creating as a group and enjoying some fantastic exercise. Tap shoes required. (Either flats or heels are great)

Elevé will not hold classes during the weeks of June 29th - July 5th and July 20th - 26th due to the holidays during those weeks. Tuition is paid upfront for the full session. We understand that summer is the time for family travel and adventures. You are welcome to make up any missed weekly class in another class of the same age group. Please email info@eleveacademy.com to let us know which other weekly class you will be taking as a makeup class so we can plan accordingly.

WORKSHOPS

WORKSHOPS THAT RUN MONDAY - FRIDAY FOR ONE WEEK ONLY

  • Pre-Ballet and Level 1, Level 2 and 3, Level 4 and 5

This workshop is for dancers that will be in any elementary school grade during the 2025 - 2026 school year. Dancers will hone in on specific skills and vocabulary needed to be a successful dancer in Ballet, Contemporary, and Jazz techniques! This workshop also includes instruction in how to stretch and strengthen muscles. Dancers will showcase what they have learned in a mini showcase for their families at the end of the week.

Elevé dancers wanting to participate in Level 2 or 3 during the 2025-2026 school year, are required to take technique classes during the summer. Level 2 and 3 students must take 15 hours of technique classes over the course of the summer (technique classes include Ballet, Contemporary, or Jazz, with an emphasis on the importance of Ballet). This is the equivalent of a technique intensive for their level. Or, dancers can choose a couple weekly classes to take weekly through the summer. Dancers are welcome to take more than those class requirements, if they wish. Summer is a great time to develop technique.

  • K - 2nd, 3rd - 6th

Do you have a child with a flair for the dramatic? Have they been singing "Popular" or "Defying Gravity" since November? This Musical Theater is the class for them to dive into the world of Oz. In this workshop, students will be trained as a triple threat in dance, acting, and vocal performance by professionals in each of those fields. Students will work together to create a scene from a musical that will be performed for their families the last day of the workshop.

  • Ages 3 - 5, Kinder - 2nd, 3rd - 6th

Acro is a version of tumbling taught with the goal of incorporating the tricks into dance choreography. Acro dancers learn traditional tumbling skills, while working on their flexibility, building strength, and developing overall coordination. Acro students will show off their skills during the last day of each workshop.

  • Ages 3 - 5, Kinder

Princesses, princes, fairies, heros, monsters, and unicorns. What do these things have in common? They are all characters in fairy tale stories. In this workshop, dancers will explore the world of fairy tales through dancing out stories, creating magical crafts, and pretending to be characters from the tales. Dancers will perform a short dance for their families on the last day of class to showcase what they have learned.

  • Ages 3 - 5, Kinder

Though they may have some special powers, superheros need to keep up with their skills to keep them fit and ready for action. In this workshop, superhero students will learn how to do just that. This workshop will get your child's imagination going as we work on agility through quick movement obstacle course exercises, fundamental Acro skills (rolls, bridges, handstands, etc.), and of course, learn a short dance showing off their new superhero skills. All of these "powers" will be performed for their families on the last day of the workshop.

  • Ages 3 - 5

This dance camp is for your little ballerina who is already practicing turns, balances, and leaps. Sometimes to the detriment of your house, like Angelina Ballerina. In this class, littles will learn the fundamentals of Ballet technique and vocabulary as well as giving time to move creatively. We will also take time to read stories about little ballerinas and dance out their adventures. Dancers will showcase what they have learned through class in a mini performance the last day of the class.

  • Ages 3 - 5, Kinder

Faith Based Creative Movement is a dance fundamentals class centered around Christian beliefs. Dancers will learn stories and concepts from the Bible while learning how to express their faith and celebrate Christ through their movement. Christian and fun children's music will be used in this class. Dancers will showcase what they have learned on the last day of this workshop.

  • Ages 3 - 5, Kinder - 2nd

Hip Hop dance is an energetic and expressive street dance style that emerged in the 1970s. It has a series of bounces and rocks performed to the beats of Hip Hop music. In our Hip Hop workshop it’s a beautiful way for kids to combine exercise, creativity, and fun while developing coordination, confidence and a love for movement and music! As it is for all Elevé classes, movement and music for this class will be age appropriate and family friendly.

Tuition is paid upfront for each of these workshops. Students can not make up missed classes during workshops.
